The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) ADS-B Out equipment mandate has prompted operators to get a head start on their avionics modifications, and many customers are counting on Textron Aviation to ensure they’re cleared for takeoff when the NextGen requirement goes into effect Jan. 1, 2020.
Slots have increasingly filled up at Textron Aviation service centers throughout the U.S. as operators begin scheduling the modification events for their aircraft, Aftermarket Business Manager Jason Burdette said.
