Hawker Beechcraft Displays Innovative New Cabin Concept for Hawker 200 at NBAA 2010

ATLANTA (Oct. 18, 2010) – Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced that it is displaying an enhanced interior concept mock-up for the new Hawker 200 at its National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) static display at Peachtree DeKalb Airport in Atlanta. In an effort to maximize passenger comfort in the Hawker 200’s class-leading cabin cross section, the mock-up includes an expanded four-place club seating space with additional side-facing seats in the aft position and in the lavatory. The interior styling has also been upgraded to mirror that of the Hawker lineup, including a larger galley, full height closet, new cabin controls and new tables.

“Two of the main characteristics that define the Hawker lineup of jets are our spacious cabins and attention to detail in our interiors,” said Vince Restivo, HBC vice president, Aircraft Completions. “The concept mock-up is intended to help us to gain more insight into what customers would like to see in a light jet cabin. This configuration is just one of the options we are considering for the new Hawker 200 and we’re looking forward to getting feedback from customers and NBAA attendees.”

Having determined through market research that 95 percent of light jet missions consist of three or four passengers, HBC’s Completions Center of Excellence in Little Rock, Ark., expanded the four-place club area to allow greater passenger comfort. Customers also indicated the occasional need to carry additional passengers. To accommodate this need in the proposed new cabin configuration, which includes the option for a side-facing seat opposite the entry door and a belted lavatory, the single-pilot certified Hawker 200 could accommodate as many as eight passengers.
