WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 20, 2014 – Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today it is adding Europe-based Beechcraft King Airs to the aircraft covered by the company’s ProCAMO maintenance and support program.
Beginning Oct. 28, 2014, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will expand the scope of Europe-based aircraft that must use a continuing airworthiness management organization (CAMO) to receive an annual Airworthiness Review Certificate. Under the revised EASA regulations, King Airs are now included in CAMO requirements.
ProCAMO, available for Europe-based Cessna Citations, Hawkers, and now all Beechcraft King Airs, is part of Textron Aviation’s ProAdvantage family of support programs. It provides European operators comprehensive continuing airworthiness support including maintenance forecasting, planning and scheduling to minimize aircraft downtime, and management of technical records and logbooks. All six Textron Aviation Service Centers in Europe – Doncaster, Düsseldorf, Paris, Prague, Valencia and Zürich – are certified by EASA to offer CAMO services.
“Through ProCAMO, we can now offer our King Air owners and operators the peace of mind of meeting EASA airworthiness requirements directly from a company-owned service center,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president, Customer Service. “The Textron Aviation ProAdvantage support programs, which include ProCAMO, set the standards in our industry for increasing efficiency, reducing costs and optimizing resale value of customers’ aircraft.”
ProAdvantage provides life-cycle maintenance and spare part support for aircraft airframes and avionics, engines and, when applicable, auxiliary power units. Owners benefit from more accurate budget management and long-term price protection for most every system on the aircraft and enjoy programs such as ProParts, ProTech, PowerAdvantage and ProCAMO.
